Im considering one later down the road and was wondering is it hard to keep up with atvs out on the trails? And how well are they in the mud vs another big bore? say around the same size.

I just bought a 09 700 Sport edition Rhino and was concerned about the same things you just mentioned, especially since my other bike is a 800 can-am, but overall I am really happy. I was seriously considering a more sporty machine like the razr or,  even though its still carbed the teryx, but with the family settled on the rhino. I installed the extended roll cage and rear bench seat for the kids. The only thing that disipointed me at first was the power. I thought it could use a little more power, but then took into consideration that I am turning 28" mudzillas, and with the added weight of the tires, seat, rollcage, wife and kids figured the 700 did pretty good. We went everywhere my buddie and his brute 750 went and actually made it through a couple of holes easier than he did. We are mainly mud and skeg riders, and the mud is thick, but I was very impressed by it. It is not a speed demon by any means, but we dont ride trails that allow for alot of speed any how, and there are mods to remedy that. Like I said I am very impressed and dont at all regret my decision. In my mind buying a machine that has been around for so long and is proven, out weighs a few more horse. Hope this helps. BTW the piggy back shocks on the sport editions are awesome.

i had a bf750 and i bought an 07 660..  i like it more than the brute by far,,  the only thing i miss is the wheelies..  where we ride, you cant go wide open on the trails so its not a big issue with the top speed...  as far as the 660-700 goes,, im not sure..  i have a pipe, 27" lites, and cdi box and i raced a friends 07 700 rhino stock..  we stayed right beside each other until he hit his limiter and then i pulled from him....
