How are the R's comparing to the older Can Am's?

Sounds like the R's took some of the power from the bottom end, and added it to the top.

why not read some of the threads already started on this topic rather than starting a new one!

I've been reading a lot of your posts lately and you sound angry. Are you frustrated with a lot of things on this site?

Sorry.....guess I get grouchy when I try to look for new info and all I see is "what should I buy", and "whats faster.....bike X or bike Y"!!!  There are so many of these threads that if you just browse for 5 minutes, you can find out who thinks what bike is faster, smoother, rides better, etc.!

Forgive me guys...I will shut uP!

I'm getting ready to race my 800's again to show what I'm thinking should be a noticeable amount of gain. Here is me and my buddy before the suspension was adjusted on the 800R and also I have found some other interesting things that improved the 800R.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZqIiSZ7O-0&fmt=18
and hopefully the next video will sow the 800R eat up the old 800 from take off to finish

That sounds great. I'll be looking forward to hearing anything you've found.

Some people on here are friendly. Some are jelious and some just are not nice people at all.   I'm not looking to buy bike "X" or bike "Y."  I enjoy this hobby as much as you do I'm sure.  I don't take offence to things so dont worry about hurting my feelings.  In my defence my computer was down and I'm going back and fourth to the University of Houston getting my classes books etc.  Guess I'll get a decent education and learn to read past threads.  It's not like I dont goto the number 2 Entrepreneurship University in the nation or anything like that.

The good thing though is that the overwhelming majority are good people and are willing to help you at whatever you need.  May you prosper well in your studies.

I do own both new and old. The new has a larger intake runner and cams so the low rpm port velocity is a little less so the torque is a little less at low rpm. The larger runners and cams do wake up the mid and top very well. I think the new R will be a real force to be dealt with.

Also I would say 99% or riders wont be able to tell that is has less power on low end. The R is still a beast

The top speed is real good I pulled 78mph on flat blacktop at 5000 ft elev. The other Gade could only pull 72-73mph (but we didnt check tire psi or know the belt condition)

You know I was just thinking about that and we could all be making a big fuss over nothing.  I watched the video again today and I noticed that the "R" was still wheelying off the line and was staying with the old gade in the low end. It wasn't like the old gade pulled off the line way better and it wheelied less than the "R" in some occasions. I didn't pay attention to it till today.

I just showed it to my wife and she finally likes the red now.  She was a fan of the yellow. She's thinking now........ so now we wait.....
