Man Oh Man, I would love some power steering.  Any chance Can-Am will put any on the Max?

It may be in the works..  the Spyder has power steering, and I can see BRP installing on the SXS next year..  the outlander might get it too.

If it's anything like the Grizzly's they can keep it. They need to come out with one that has a variable assist to it. Could be beacuse the Grizzly's just handles like crap at high speed, but you can't feel the trail for aggressive riding and tend to oversteer.

ive got about 30 hrs of high speed trail riding (40-50mph consistantly) on a 700 and have had no troubles with the powersteering.  to me it was like taking a 2x4 honda trail riding.  now the 700 has terracrosses on it if that matters.

Chrisj,it does take some getting used to,but the more seat time the better.I have no problems at high speed, and I wouldn't buy another quad without it,no matter what brand.

In these debates, it always sounds like those who have PS love it and the ones who criticize it are the ones who don't have it. So I must conclude that it is a great mod and I hope to one day experience it.

Nope we have 2. Could it be because of stock tires that they handle like crap? Maybe. Or it's just not for me. It's sorta like a Cadilac vs a Corvette. I'll take the Corvette if that makes sense.lol To me it's a bike for someone plowing or farmers chasing sheep, or a female.

Well I stand corrected.  I wonder how much tires come into play if the steering is too light at high speeds? Since I own terracrosses, I must say that they hook up very well.

I can't even put seat time on it. I seriously get on this bike and litterly can't stand it. The seat is horrendous. It reminds me of riding a sheet of plywood with handlebars. I could go on and on about the Grizzly. The only thing I don't mind is the power and no kickback in the steering.

I had the Terras on my Rincon and loved them, I put them on the Rancher and didn't like them on that bike. It seemed to yank it around.

The terrocrosses look good imo and I like them on your rincon. I like the renny in the background too. Nice.

PS would be ok if it shut off at over 15 miles an hour or something. Over that it kind of stinks or be able to flick a switch and shut it off.

I'm told Can Ams already have power steering it's just right thumb activated push the throttle and the front gets lighter. Seriously the power steering woul be cool. i'd like the selectable front diff like the griz as well. Since the grizz's steering is electric has anyone tried to disconnect the power and see how hard it steers? coul you throw a switch on it to turn off the power steering at high speeds? Just a thought

when u turn it off it still works just like a quad without powersteering. so...in theory you could put a switch on it and turn it off without a problem.

but thats also a testimate that once you get some time with it you get used to it....b/c i havent heard of anyone putting a switch on it.

Since I am old (54 in three weeks), it would not hurt my feelings if it was full time or not.  My 500 MAX XT steers a lot harder than my Foreman did.  But, it could be that the mudlites on the Foreman did not have as much rubber on the hard ground as the stock XT tires.
