Guys, I'm going through a pretty tough time and I really have no1 to talk to so I figure yall can help me. My parents have been fighting about the past year and now the past couple of days, its been horrible. My mom left last night, and now she came back this morning. Now my dad left this evening and he just got back. I really think that the deal is my mom is afraid my dad's cheating on her, and he's not. Well anyway guess where he goes? To the lady's house who my mom thinks he's cheating with. Now, my mom called me and my sister in her room a few minutes ago and told us to start thinking about who we would like to live with...... This is a really bad time for me and I just needed to vent to you guys. I'm praying everything works out right. Thanks for listening.

Me I couldn't pick, I would have to go stay with my uncle. If I were you I would stay with a male figure, your getting to the age where a male figure will start to play a major roll in your life.

Actually, I think my dad could care less.....i know it sounds bad, but he would never be home anyway, and I would get pretty much whatever I wanted, but I dont know if I'd want that...

Hey man I hope it all works out for ya, I know it's rough. This has been a while back now, but my parents were having a rough go at it and were tlaking about divorce and let them know real quick that if you give up on each other, your giving up on me and my little sis and her and I won't live with either of you. I think I was just scared at the time, been about 12 years ago, but it all worked out. I don't know what I really would have done had they gotten a divorce. But man stay strong and do what ya gotta do.
Prayers sent for ya bro

Keep your head up man.   Went through something very very similar about a year ago.  Also was faced with the choice of who to live with.  Just try not to get too upset about it.  Best wishes to you and your family

Go with who ever you think will be the best at rasing you, I've never meet your parents so don't know which one would be the best for rasing you. I would do something like go with one for 6 months then the other just to get a feel for who is the best. But why are you worried about this now, they are still together maybe all our prays will get them back together and happy.

Oh and I would be living at who ever has the cutiest girls around if you already know what your doing.

man it sucks to hear this.  My parents split when I was 18 and believe me it don't get easier with age.  Keep your head up and stay straight, support your parents and try to convince them into staying together.  Even at 18 it was hard for me b/c I didn't see my Dad for almost a year.  The most important part is no matter what happens between the, you need to keep yourself clean and stay out of trouble.  Don't turn your anger into violence and drugs, that will land you in jail and you will only see them on visitation days..  Hope all works out to the good man, and keep your head right.

This is correct with out a father to be there as you are maturing and learning to listen in your mid and later teens in a more mature mind set you could never learn the true trades that a father is suposed to pass down to a son and it can cause problems for you later as far as knowing how to do things or how to get a job that pays well .  1 of my friends was raised by a single mom and was tought nothing by any male figure and has some major issues doing simple things he was never taught how to do a mans work and comes off a little soft.

man even if it does come to what you might think to be the worse you always gotta think about what you still have. both of your parents are still in this world and that my friend is a blessing all in its self.

When the time is right, suggest to them that they might try marriage counseling. Don't do it in the middle of a raging fight because they will be too mad to consider it. You'll know when the time is right. Don't let them play the money card either, you'd be surprised what your insurance will cover when you look into it. You and your family are in my prayers.

I went through the same thing when I was a kid. Believe me if they are not happy together and it is making you and your sis miserable too, it will get better if and when they split. I am not saying they need to or will, just saying that when mine split, we were able to live a better life because there was no more fighting. It was hard to deal with at first, but in retrospect it was what needed to happen. I will pray for you and your family. That is the only thing that I can truely tell you to do is pray. HE is the only one that can heal this.

It happened to my folks right after I graduated(nice grad. gift, huh). All I can say is time will heal. Be there for both of them though. I know its all hard to take in right now. Also, be there for your sis. It will get better down the road. You just have to tough it out! God Bless.

First off I cant see how ur MOM would call u and ur sis in and tell yall to pick who yall would want to live with!!! You should tell her "I want to live with both of u". So maybe u can ask them (at seperate times) if there may be anything u could do to help the situation get better! If ur MOM isnt 100% sure that dad is cheating maybe she should hire a P.I. to find out for sure before she throws away a GREAT family because she assumed something!!! If u need anything bro u can pm me or post on here and we are ALL willing to help if we can!!!
