Here's my new project. It's a 1999 Kodiak 400 4x4. Should be a good back up bike when I'm done with it. Only thing that was wrong with it was a burnt ground wire and a stripped rear axle.   I just finished fabricating the 2" lift and painting the frame. Parts will be in Friday and this old girl will be running by Saturday.

I like it. Once I get a new job and start making some real money, build my Grizzly the way I want it, then I will buy a 400BB or something of the like and build it up real nice. Either that or start saving for a Viper.

Thanks. You'd be able to afford the bear first, and if you got it instead of the viper....a few less speeding tickets.

Thanks. I used some of that bumper and rub guard paint on it. Sanded the fenders with 320 grit and used two coats of adhesion promoter on it. I tried scratching it off, but its sticking like glue. It turned out a wicked flat black. The g/f loves it. She wants it "murdered out". Now I gotta paint the rims black and maybe even the front bumper. Oh well. Whatever makes momma happy.

What kind of paint did you use on the plastics? I really like that flat black.

Fenders were originally yamaha green. But when I got it, they were almost black. After I sanded all the oxidation off, they turned whitish green.

Thanks. I want to hang onto it. This thing has some serious torque. Might make a competition bike out of it. As for now though it's just a good back up bike and something that the g/f can ride with me on. I was gonna fix it up and sell it but there's just too much you can do to this motor to make it competitive.

Awsome job. You're right, those things are torque monsters. I had a 98 and sold it and been sick ever since.
Found a 97 that belonged to an old man and still got the original tires on it.
I'm goin to pick it up tomorrow. Hope it's as described.
