I am new to the sport and have bought a used 06' 400 Outlander Max XT about 5 months ago.

Love the machine so far and have upgraded the rubber to Mudlite XTR's and the SS212 rims as the stock tires were about 50% tread.

I would like to snorkel it and upgrade the exhaust and air filter, but I am unable to find any aftermarket slip on exhausts
or snorkel kits for this model.  Only on the 500, 650's and 800's?

Anyone have any sources or info on upgrading the 400?

AAEN makes a pipe for it. I find it awesome. Uni also makes a filter for it. Snorkels you gotta do yourself.

Wileyco makes a pipe for it also. There are no kits to snorkel this bike. There isn't a high demand for it for some reason. The beltbox is pretty easy. The air box is the tricky part.

Thank you for the replies.

I am currently using a UNI foam filter any big advantage to going to a K&N ?

Also, when I install one of those aftermarket exhausts listed (Aaen, Big Gun or Wlieyco) will I need to modify or adjust the carb?

Considering a clutch kit as well.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

No, the K&N is not worth buying if you already have the UNI.

You will most likely need to rejet after adding snorkels and/or exhaust.

The dalton kit works great on the lil 400.  It comes with a primary and secondary springs along with dalton weights.
