Im trying to put a HMF swamp pipe on ,my bike.  The header pipe form the motor and the s shaped pipe they supplied me are the same size.  How do i connect it to the header pipe.  Fits to the exhaust ok.

Theres no way that pipe will slide over the header I tryed eyerthing I could.  The header pipe is a hair bigger that the pipe they sent me.  Maybe I got the wrong S pipe.

No mudding tonight Gonna have to send the S part back to be replaced with a different one.  The HMF guys sure are easy to talk to though.

So, I sent the pipe back Monday overnight (cost me $25 to send it) and got it back today.  Still dont fit.  Called HMF and they said they opened it up some, If anything it should have some play in it. They said they opened it up to 1 1/2 inch. That is what the internal diameter is subbosed to be they said. When I measure it with a tape measure I get 1 7/16. The exact sme as the header pipe.  Called them back said they would send me a new one that would be here on Monday.  Have anybody with this bike run into the same proplem? Maybe I am missing something, or Im just plum dumb. just never had this proplem before. Guess I wont make Rocky Creek this weekend either.

If the new one still doesn't work, you could always get a muffler shop to bump it up for you....I did on my last bike.

go to the parts store and buy your own pipe expander.

http://www.partsamerica.com/productdetail.aspx?MfrCode=APO&MfrPartNumber=T75822&CategoryCode=3494

those are the 3 sizes they have you should need the small one.
