I would depend on the mud condition. If it's a big watery mud hole I would go with just esp and shift into the highest gear she can handle. If it's thick just go with esp low and again shift to the highest gear she will handle. Leave the auto for trail riding. With the rubicon there's no need to let off the throttle to shift, just push the button.
