Picked up an 08 750 king day before yesterday. I've only been on the 350 to 500 class bikes... this is much better. Can't wait to get past the break in period and start with some mods.

Hey bro, congrats on a really great bike!  I too came from a Honda & haven't, won't look back! A really good list of mods, look in my sig. Any aftermarket pipe will be alot better than the stocker, but that's mainly a preferance. Folks like the HMF, but on a Big single, they're Obnoxiously Loud!!! I really love the sound the Yoshi produces & some great gains to boot!  David Suzuki has found the Pro Circuit TI3 gives the best gains, with Yoshi coming in a close 2nd, & HMF in a very close 3rd! As stated earlier, any will be a noticeable difference over stock! If any water/mudding is in store, snork the belt. The stock intake/exhaust just plumb sux! A right outta the hole lag is present, but not nearly as noticeable as it is on the 700! Good luck & hope this helps, just Holla back if you need help! Also  to the Suzuki section!!!!!  Later>>>>>>>>>Brandon

Thanks guys, it's good to be here. Yeah, the exhaust will be first on the list, I have the HMF on a 450 wolverine and it's loud(which I like) but think I will try something different when the time comes, maybe yoshi or big gun possibly. But, I don't want to get ahead of myself...no telling how long before I can start the mods... not too long I hope.

Make sure you check out NYROC for King Quad info and mods. I love both sites but NYROC is almost King specific.

No can do on the pics(no camera at the moment), but it's bone stock right now anyways. It's red if that counts for anything... We have a small creek(very very shallow) that we ride in not too far from us and I took it in. My previous bikes didn't have the clearance this thing does, just walk over the logs and things in there that I use to have to "hit" just a little. YES, me likey

So, I found out about that junky setup for the belt exhaust mentioned earlier.... wasn't even that much water, but enough made it in to cause the belt to slip. On that note, is there a drain for it or not, I definitely missed it if there is. We stood it up and drained it out so it's doing fine but I'll have to do something about this

coolscreenname Hey bro the belt drain is on the right side of the bike(while sitting on it)there's a hole bout the size of a .$25 piece of gum! LOL! Reach up in there with your pliers(the 1s in your tool pack under the seat),you may have to use a flash light untill you get used to it, grab it with the pliers & pull straight down! It's designed kinda like the outside cap on your oil dipstick! After a few times, you'll be able to do it in the dark!   LOL! Also, I recommend snorking at least the cvt, because after enough times of getting water/mud/debris in there your performance is gonna be limited! Good luck & hope this helps you decide to go ahead & at least snorkle the belt! L8r>>>>>>>Brandon

I agree about the snorkles. But I also seal my gasket on the CVT cover with some RTV.
Good Luck.

Hey guys, thanks for the help on that drain. Now on to the next question. Break in period is almost done and I was wondering, who actually checked their valve clearance at that time? I know the manual says to and it's probably a good idea to do it but most people I've known with new quads didn't and they have been fine. Also, if I go ahead and do it, is it a big task or not too bad?

coolscreenname Hey man the zukis have a perty good track record on the valves not needing adjustment! It's very few & far between it's needed(this according to what my dealer told me)IMO I wouldn't even mess with it unless it's EXTREMELY hard to start!!! That's a good way to suspect the valves needing attention!  Good luck & hope this helps you & L8r>>>>>>>Brandon

Oh, yeah. Snorkels are definitely on the "to do" list. First on the list though is exhaust and air filter. I believe it will be a two brothers exhaust(nobody else around has one and I like trying new stuff), and either a twinair or uni filter.

coolscreenname Hey bro, go with the Twin Air! The UNI has a tendancy to come apart & ruin your motor. This info came from my dealer & they knew I wasn't buying from them, so it wasn't them trying to make more money off of me!  Just a head's up>>>>>>>Brandon

Wow, it's been a while but I've got some upgrades done now. Put on a 2" lift kit and have 1.5" spacers up front. I plan on running SRA wheels when I can afford to get some(running temporary setup right now) so she'll be wide enough in the rear. Got the Twin Air air filter paired up with the Two Brothers exhaust-much mo betta-love the throttle response now. Up next is snorkeling the belt then saving for wheels and tires. Only have one pic for now but will get more when the weather allows

I think the injector is better for the trail.
I heard that it boggs down in the mud.
But I love my VDI
