I've noticed that there's already been a lot of discussion about what the official dates will be for 09.

The official dates for Mud Nationals 09 are Wednesday, April 1st through Sunday, April 5th 2009.

This information has been posted at the top of the official Mud Nats website at www.atvmudnationals.com for a few weeks now and the official countdown is there as well. Most of the information currently posted to atvmudnationals.com was posted for the 2008 Mud Nats but should be accurate and just as useful for any plans you want to make for 2009. Meanwhile we'll be making updates throughout the year to the Vendor, Sponsor, Events, and similar sections that may change from year to year.

How does the camping work. do you have entry fee and then camp where ever. or do you pay for each night of camping?
have small group of friends and i coming down this year (first time) need some basic info. thanks

when u enter the gates u will pay for parking, campers, per person, bikes n etc
its a one time fee (must have receipt or armband to get back in gates if u leave) or u will have to pay again
go n park where u want n get ready to ride & party
im not sure what the price was or will be just keep a lookout for it

its ur first year -- U WILL HAVE A BLAST

this will be the first time since mud nats started that ill be off, wheres a good place to stay at(hotels)?
i have a camper are there any hookups? if not i have a generator, what about sewage? any dumps for when you leave the park?

Do most people camp out, or do they go to a hotel? I have a tent and thats it...Is there a place to shower out there? I've never been but plan to drive up from Houston this year.

Hotels are normally all booked up, and yes they do have hot showers the line can be pretty long sometimes unless you go late and shower.

She speaks the truth. the showers run out of hot water after wednesday anyway. So i usually try to get one then and after that its just cold water showers the rest of the time. Most of the time we pass out before we can get one anyway. But this year im bringing my camper so i will have a place to shower WHOOT WHOOT

there is a guy who sets up showers that are like porta johns that you pay for. you can pay once and get a band or you can pay as you want a shower. we did it once last year because it was late and the showers there were a mess, and i would have to say it was very nice they were hot and clean.
