Hey guys, I am thinking of bringing a couple of bikes there this weekend. Never been to Mud Creek, how does it compare to River Run? I have to say, of all the places I have traveled to, River Run is my favorite.

i like both. river run and mudcreek. there is LOTS more trails to ride at mud creek.  the mud is how you say....different and mudcreek. its the thick nasty mud that is like glue.  at riverrun its more of a sandy type mud that comes off MUCH easier.

the problem with mud creek some ppl are telling me is the condition of the park is deteriating pretty badly. i will find out friday.

if it see the black popo and brute me and my bud will hit you up for a ride together on friday.

Deteriorating how? It sure was the same the last time I went out there! You gotta remember though - it's kinda like off season for mud parks right now! I'm sure the staff isn't putting all their nickles & dimes into everything at this time... that'll start up again before Nats.

...with that said, Mud Creek is the best! I've been to River Run & it's better for just "trail" riding in my opinion. There's just lots of options at Mud Creek!

Riverrun Is the Better park for allout riding, You can cover so much more miles without getting coverred in mud, Riverurn has awesome swamps when it rains good out there, They have holes like the twin channels to give you a heck of a workout, The river is always nice to play in and wash off, If you have a group that knows where they are going both parks are awesome, My dad and i can go to where the cabin used to be and back at mudcreek in about 30 minutes, The other side of 79 is pretty fun to, The best thing about mudcreek is the middle of the highline, If you got a fourwheeler that will make it give her a shot it's definately a challenge to say the least

The up bike is ready to roll, Got the my wheels and tires on it allready, But i doubt my mom will let us out of the house unless it's on saturday, To get to 79 go all the way to the end of the highline and take a right then go all the way to the end till you see a gate theres a trail that goes off to a creek then keeps going, go under the bridge and theres some good land back there, But watch the holes over there they look conceiving, Last time we went back there i had outlaws and a bunch of big bikes with us, But my dads rhino made it all the way through so yall should be fine

dont get me wrong i love both parks. but what i mean by deteriating is a lot of the trails are getting rutted up so badly that it takes some of the fun out of trail riding there.

The back 500 at MudCreek is a blast.  As far as River Run, IMO, that place has gone down hill since Mac took a leave of absence.

Looks like our group is headed to Mud Creek.  As far as the MudCreek vs. River Run debate.  MudCreek hands down.  RiverRun is a good park when we are ready to ride somewhere different.  We don't like competing with the trucks.  You can't ever be sure if you're gonna fall off in a crater that they have left behind.  The people running it are not nearly as "accomodating" as at MudCreek.  And camping in the RV spots is  too much SAND!!!  However, the carwash and the bathhouse are both really nice.  JMO since everyone else was sharing.
oh and yes the trails on the other side of 79 are awesome - we finally got to ride there last trip, will probable venture over there again this time.
See ya out there
