As I understand it, for the basic colors the plastic is molded in that color (i.e. green, red). The others are painted.

Even though the basic ones might not look as attractive, would they not be more durable in the long run?

Thanks. I see you have a red and a blue brute, so I suppose you know from experience. The blue is painted right?

I have had red, green, desert yellow, lime green, camo, and now I have the painted blue. the painted blue looks awesome but definitely shows the scratechs the fastes. The camo is very durable also but gets wear spots.

i have the black one too and all you have to do is look at it and it scratchs.

Ya, its black plastic under the blue.. Mines chipped off so bad it comes off in the car wash if ur not careful.. I even went to the paint store and they matched me with new paint, its daytona blue, nissan color. I dont even know why i plan on repainting the plastic... I dont even have that kind of time on my hands.. I'm not some kind of cleanie weeny.. right? I just like nice looking plastic...
