I think you got it mixed up between Zillas and MudZillas.....the zilllas would be good for that

Do to the sub-par ride quality of the Mudzilla's and the lesser mud traction when compared to the Laws, Vamps & Sbacks, I have to say they wouldn't be the best choice. You can get a tire that will perform as good as the Mudzilla in the mud with a better ride on the trails. A few of those other tires are: Mud Machine Tri/Bi-Claws, Kenda Executioners, ITP 589's, Maxxis Mud Bugs. Unless you are looking at the 30" Mudzilla's, I would look into some of these other tires. I think they would better suit 50/50 terrain. The Mudzilla's performance in mud does not match they're aggressive look.

Agreed.  For 70/30 to 85/15 mud trail, I would look into Vampires or Mud Machines.  For over 90 percent mud, maybe Laws and backs.

I don't think they would be best for your conditions.  For 50/50, Mud Machines are a good tire, as well as Zillas(not Mudzillas), 589's, Executioners and the Mud/Swamplite tires.

If the Mudzilla had a tread angle/pitch that was closer to that of the Zilla they would be a much better tire. In every percent (%) class of "pure mud" and "mud/trail" tires, there are tires that will give better performance than the Mudzilla. It's not the best choice for any type of riding. They do look killer, though.

mudzillas are too heavy...would be ok if they pulled worth a darn, but don't, and have no traction in reverse.  Zillas are lighter, but softer rubber

i love my mudzillas but if you ride 50-50 then you will regret it dearly. they are horrible in sand and hard slick surfaces but great in mud. its called the MUDzilla for a reason, not the trailzilla. it is strictly a MUD tire.

lol...just got back from NY...ya'll got way too many taxis...lol

Mudzillas clean pretty good, but just don't have the forward pull.  If there's a bottom, I'd say EDLs.

Don't listen to these guys.   Mudzillas are a great tire for mud and the longest wearing tire for hardpack.

I have outlaws on a machine that had mudzillas on it before and the outlaws are no better in the swamps of Minnesota or the heavy sticky black stuff of North Dakota.

Vamps are no better either and actually their lack of any side lug at all takes away from their swamp running abilities.

Then we have wear and tear to contend with.   There is alot of money going into these tires and I personally hate having to spend this kind of money to replace tires.    Neither the Outlaw or the Vamp can contend with the Mudzilla as far as longetivity goes.

Mudmachines (Bis and tris) another great tire that is often over looked.   These things paddle, float and do what ever you want.   Only down side is the lack of larger sizes.

Now S'backs.   Well never ridden on them.   From what I remember, they have a larger lug which is similar in design to the Laws with some other little differences in the design of the tire.  So depending on the conditions then may perform better but then in some conditions they will be worse.

I would put the Mudzillas in a 50/50 catagory because they do very well in the mud and do very well and last a long time on hard pack.

Bi and tri claws 60/40 great mud tire and great traction on hard pack but lack the longetivity that keeps them from wearing out on hardpack.

I would put Vamps it a 60/40 catagory because they also do pretty good in the mud but their hard pack performance lacks a bit and they wear quickly.

Outlaws     80/20   Another good mud tire but you better keep them in the soft stuff because they lack greatly on hard pack, not as stable at speed do to their lug design and won't last 1/4 as long as other tires on the market unless you keep them in the swamps.

I'll tell you to not listen to Rat. Mudzillas are a terrible choice if you want a stock tire type ride out of a tire that still has mud performance. Look at Zillas, Vamps, MST's or XTR's. But PLEASE don't be swayed by in-correct advice. I need to state that we are starting to see pre-mature tread wear on Zillas just so you know.

He wants mud ability at the same time.   From his PMs it sounds like the exact same type of terrain I run in all the time and the mudzillas will fit the bill and not drain your pocket book from having to be replaced liek some of the other mud tires recomended.

"The Mudzilla's performance in mud does not match they're aggressive look."
yeap i do aggree with that statement . and as for trail riding lol they dont climb worth a poop, handle poorly they are ruff riding dont work in snow very well and are super heavy.
for 75% hardpack you really dont want a tire like this, BUSHHOG gave a few good tires to pick from ..

and if your wanting a good mud tire there are far better ones as well..

all JUST MY OPINION..

The Tri/Bi-Claws i had wore just as good, if not better than the Mudzilla's will as do the Vamps and Executioners. BUSHHOG & GWC, couldn't agree more. Rat rides in that special type of mud that only exists in his mind and defy's all the laws of physics.   Get real buddy. Anyone can simply look at the tread design's and plainly see where our points our valid. Yours on the other hand.......pure fiction.
