i was wondering if someone has seen any similar issues, ive got an 07 kq 700 it runs good till about 30mph then starts popping and wont go any faster, its almost like its hitting the rev limiter but im not even 1/4 throttle into it anyone seen anything similar??

j_mccart Hey bro, check your throttle limiter screw! I've heard of some being well, limited from the show room! If that's not the issue, it maybe the spark arrestor in the very back of the exhaust! Other than those 2 ideas, I can't right off think of nething else! Hope 1 of these is your prob. Neither of my bikes are here right now, but will be back here tomorrow!

Did you check to see if your TPS is set correctly??? Is your belt slipping? If the TPS is not set right from the factory it could make the ECU read that you are hitting the rev. limiter but you relally aren't. My Arctic Cat did sort of the same thing and sure enough the TPS was off.

did you relocate your fuel tank check valve? if not could be a fuel filter clogged up also. same with air filter. along with the other things mentioned, have you done the self check to see if its throwing any codes?

Yeah if its the fuel system u will prolly have to replace the fuel filter!!!
