i like the locker on the king ALOT better than the locker on the brute. with the brute, you have to HOLD IN a lever to KEEP it engaged. on the king quad you flip a lever and it stays locked until you flip the lever back down. unlike the brute, you dont have to hold the lever. another atv you might consider is the yamaha grizzly 700. it has a locker and has power steering. IMO, it is the best all-around atv you can get. check it out

Its not like it takes much force to hold a lever in. Id easily take the Brute over the King any day no matter the price. Suzuki has never done me any good and I love my brute, the power and speed is LOVELY.

the problem that i had was when i was stuck, i had to have both hands on the handlebars for the diff lock to work, so i could not have diff lock engaged when trying to help push my quad out of a mud hole. it is fine if you have a winch, ir just sucks when you are already stuck.

Ive been lookin at the Brute forces. I cant deside between a brute 750 or a 700 cat. The only thing that makes me want the cat is the 3 year warranty. anyone got any advice

Some many pro's and con's to both best bet it to get some seat time on both and get a feel for what you like.  Best of luck on your decision and post when u decided.

king quad...i didnt know anybody even bought those....you should be chosing between the grizzly 700 and the 750 brute. The brute is faster but the grizzly is a better all around bike!

My son had a King Quad for about 10 years... and rode it extremely hard. It was a fine quad. I think the only thing he ever put in it was a starter... just before he sold it and bought his CAT.

With that said, I think the BF is a a great machine. Choosing between a KQ, BF... and a Grizz would be an extremely tough decision. Try and take them all for a spin, and pick the one that has the features you like and suits you best.

it all depends if you want to lead or follow....Brute= Leading    King Quad=followers...  sorry the brute just has way too much power compared to the king quad... there is no low dollar mods for a king to keep up with a brute you would have to spend alot of money to try and turn a king into a brute sorry just the way it is..     dunno what the price tag is on the new 850xp but i would look into that machine if i was you in all the videos ive seen of them they look like a powerhouse!!!!!!!!!!

texasfirefighter I own an 08 750 King, but unlike some of the others, I'll give you my Honest oppinion!! The Brute does win in the power department, but in no way does it win for reliability! The King's a great bike for all around trail riding/mudding. If you go with the Brute, there's 2 things you need to have(or at least 1 of the 2)money to have it worked on ALOT/the know how to work on it yourself!!  Also, with the mods in my sig, my King is no joke! Come on & get you a shot of this "Queen Quad" LOL! The newer Brutes are a lil more trail friendly than the older models. I like the Brutes, but if you go with it, you should get a new set of tools ta the same time IMO! Hope this helps you, but you should really test both(not a parking lot test, real world test)& let that be your deciding factor! Good luck & later               Brandon

Had both the brute & king brute has power & speed but mine was only as fast as the bike that was towing me LOL. I worked on it more than i rode it. I also had a king 700 not as fast but i actually got to ride it .As far as mods the VDI & M-109 injector combo & those things are a King. IMO the quad was a much better bike than my brute was, but as said real world test the 2 & pick what you like. Good luck Big O
