Well I bought my 08 Outy 800XT already fixed up from someone on this site.  My question is if there would be any adverse affects to the machine if I put the factory muffler on with out taking off the PCIII?  I love the HMF, but it is just too loud going through the woods to my stand.  I'll put it back on maybe after hunting season.  I don't know I'm used to things being quiet.  This thing just draws too much attention.

Also if anyone would be interested in tradeing plastics.  The bike came with camo but the PO switched them to yellow.  I would like to go back to Camo maybe even green, but I would have to think about it.  Shoot me a PM if interested.  The yellow has a few scuffs but nothing major or unsightly.

It will be just fine. I run mine with a stock muffler. I would just ajust the pc some. Bc with the stock muffler it will be running to rich if it was tuned for the hmf.

. And it might be better to do this cause it might foul a plug or something simple

X3.....

Just unplug the pc3's injector wires and plug the stock ones back in. The only place you may have some problem is if your bike has a snorkle and the pc3 was tuned to it. But it really shouldnt be that big of a problem

The bike does have stealth snorkels.  The bike was bought from Eric @ Gander but the PC was never tuned to the bike.  I live 4.5hrs away from there so I'm looking for someone that can tune it closer to me.  I live 20mins west of Lafayette, LA.  I'm also looking for somewhere to bring my bike for maintenance.  I have a gut feeling that Lafayette Power Sports is a little shady.

I wouldn't bring my bikes to Lafayette power sports, but that just me. I know John does great work. Brutewise's bike are always right!

agreed , John does do a great job. And, we also tune them and are located in Picayune,MS. I'm not sure where he is located but, I believe Trey (snowhite) has a wideband (for tunning) as well. As far as maintenance competition sports in gulfport Ms does a great job. but they are about 4 hours from you

Well it seems that I'm at least 4hrs away from anyone good.  Maybe after the holidays I'm going to have to take a road trip.

you could also just load the stock map on Ie stock filter stock pipe. If you do unplug it i would either just go ahead and pull it all the way off or make sure to tie up and pack the plugs full of dielectric grease so they dont get damaged or corroded.
