I HOPE I DON'T GET STUCK ANYMORE LOL!! or not as often lol!! Its getting pretty soupy in some spots on the trail im running stockers 489's on this 2008 800 popo touring after all the reading ive been doing lot of good reviews on this tire so im giving them a shot. Just a few questions , should i get EPI Primary spring? and maybe better belt i only have under 300 miles on this bike and not much experience with the mechanics part of it a bigger tire ? i have 1.5" spacers all round allready and i put  ranger springs in the front what else could i do to turn these tires with no extra effort on anything? Any input is appreciated ty in advance im mostly trail riding but intermitent thick black ugly nasty,,,,, holes in the earth lol are getting the best of me i dint want to go to a total mud tire i still want a kinda smooth ride every where else i ride.

Don't know about the springs, but you will love the MST's.  They are way way ahead of stock type tires.

Im hoping they will give me a shot at getting through some spots on the trail that cannot get by with out some better traction if thse wont do it im going to have to lift it up and get all the stuff for bigger tire and more aggresive i will sacrifice some riding comfort just so im not winching out every 5 miles. Im in the right forum for that if i make that move tho, i will note this quad is heavy dry wieght is 760 and with all the crap im lugging around its prob up to with me on it and sometimes a extra kid or two 950 lbs you sure notice it when i hit a black mud hole it sinks  and pulls right away resulting in well u know lol! i just wish my winch had a linger cable sometimes another question when i approach a bad spot what ive been doing is stopping and putting it low range should i keep it in high and gun it and keep the tires spinning? Im not that experienced riding yet if u have any tips on that lemme know ty in advance.

I don't have any mudding experience with a automatic but I think you'd want it in low and then maybe gun it?

I have 28" M/S/T's on a 07 500 and I do about 30% trail  70% mud in the summer and a whole lotta snow in the winter and I do fine. Now a couple of answers for you - You need to be in low when encountering any mud, your stock belt is the best belt you can run on your machine, you shouldn't need to change your clutching with 27's, you should notice a big difference going from 25" 489's to the the 27" M/S/T's both in clearence and tread/grip

Thank you for the reply 28"s are you stock clutch with those tires and lift ? Just curious i would have went them but i want to stay slose to stock as i can i dont wanna run into warranty issues if i blow something eg axles , clutch etc i notice im over heating lots also in low gear when im going through wet stuff not soup but grassed over old roads that have mud-bog cover i ordered highlifter heat fighter kit hope that will help that issue i noticed the 2009 has a bigger rad.

Yup I'm still running stock clutching and I've been in some nasty thick pull your hip joint out of it's socket type goo and all 4 tires were still turning no belt slippage, I have a HeelClicker set up and ready to go in but I have not felt the need so far. As far as your overheating issue, you might want to spend a bit of time at home making sure your rad is completely clear inbetween the small fins.

Here are some pics....... betcha you can't wait to get them on and get back on the trail.

ooo im drooling lol! nice pics now i cant wait to get those MST's on that is similar mud im going though but ares is more bog type i cant wait to hit that kind of stuff the kids get a big grin when i shoot 20 foot roosters lol!! and i did clean my rad better ty im finding low gear at around 4-5 tho rpm on slow trails is heating me up so i try to stay in high now just to keep the rpm's down and i dont know if thats heating up the belt more but it's not heating the engine up any more.
