I've got a KTM 50 PRO SENIOR with the Morini Franco GS5 motor... It's a very simple design. Anyhow, if I am kicking the motor over and not getting any spark at the plug is it more than likely the Ignition coil/Stator assembly??? Any help would be appreciated. I'm tryin to get this thing runnin for my little bro in law.

You are correct. It is most likely the coil/stator pack assembly. What year is it? I used to work for KTM and have little knowledge on the Morini engines since they just came out with their own in-house built 50cc engine.

I don't honestly know the year! haha I'm guessing around 98-2001... It was givin to me by my local atv mechanic because it had been left at his shop for 4 years and he never fooled with it because the owner said just keep it. Anyhow, it's a bad lookin little machine and I want to get it runnin for my little 6 yr old bro in law. Not to mention for me to throw in the back of truck when we go on rides to have something to get tipsy and play on for a good laugh! haha

Yeah sounds like it needs a new coil, you might want to be careful those little things can get extremly fun intoxicated..lol

Haha I know! It's gonna be SWEEEET! haha

It's a bad little joker set up for kids racing with FMF header and Pro Circuit exhaust, full race sticker set and everything! The guy I got it from said the motor was leaking oil pretty bad, but I think it's prob a blown gasket or a cracked case which I can weld. It seems to have pretty good compression. Gonna order a new coil assembly and hopefully get it running.
