Ok I'll tell you what I got first, I know ya'll all know of the big MSI brute force that Glenn Cooper use to own. Well I own it now. Get down to the point, Glenn met me at Winn Dixie in Florida to pick it up. So he cranked it up and ran perfect and drove it up on my trailer. All the oil had been changed and had a new filter on it. And the motor has just had a new big bore 840 kit in it with steel sleeves. He said he had about 50 hours of break in time on the motor. So anyways everything was fine and no oil leaks or nothing. Well after I left him I drove about 3 hours down the road and stopped at a gas station to get gas in my truck. Well while the gas was pumping I decided to go crank it up on the trailer. Well when I did I started it up and it was a little hard to crank. But finally it cranked and I gave it a little gas and all of a sudden I heard a noise and looked and shut it off and I had oil pouring out from under neath it. I got my buddy to crank it back up so I could see where it was coming from and it was coming from the top of the oil filter. Finally got back home to Louisiana, and pulled the oil filter off the bike and the top of the inside of the oil filter was blowed out like the bike built up pressure in the motor to cause it to happen. And the filter with oil in it and my engine oil was real strong with gas in it. So I thought maybe the filter might of been bad so I went and bought a brand new Kawasaki oil filter and put on it and changed the engine oil. Then I tried to crank it back up again and it was kinda hard to start at first and then finally it fired over and I gave it a little gas and it done the same thing again. I have done had three oil filters on this bike and they have all done the same thing. And I don't know how the ride home from Florida on a trailer could of caused this to happen.

I'm gonna call Flynt tomorrow to ask him what he thinks might be the problem. Can Flynt or someone that knows Kawasaki real well help me.

Need a picture of that oil filter and although not likely easy to get a picture of where it mounts on the motor to really see whats going on.

most of the time the gas in the oil is caused by not plugging the air intake snorkel as the bike is towed..

Exactly!
Plug the snorkles for towing on carb bikes or they have a tendency to flood bad. That would explain the hard starting condition and I would imagine if you pull the dipstick and smell it your going to smell gas there too.

It also makes the area where the oil is become overfilled because you have all that gas plus the oil so maybe that is where the pressure is coming fro mto cause it to blow.

Will a rubber Glove work to cover the air box snorkel? If not can I use a Ziplock baggy with rubber bands around it?

Thats the first thing that popped in my head when reading this was flooded cylinders from hauling it with the snorkels unplugged.

Long story short i once seen a guy pour oil down the oil/air breather of a Ford 4000 tractor thinking it was the oil spout and it filled the cylinders with oil. When he tried to start it it had so much pressure build up it blew 3 freeze plugs out of the block.

thanks guys for the info, but ya'll don't think anything in the bottom end is stopped up from the new motor build, cause the bike was drowned before the build and sometimes people go back together with one they don't tear the bottom end down and clean out the sand and mud in one. They just like to rebuild the top end instead of the whole motor.

And also why would it still be flooded and hard to start after I changed the oil and the thing had done sat like a whole week. Cause I didn't put the new oil into it until the next Friday night and new filter. So it had been sitting there with the blowed out one and oil with gas in it for over a week before I changed it.

A: if you drained the oil and refilled, the problem should not repeat itself.

B: I've seen this happen to a KZ1000, it blasted the oil filter cap off the bottom of the cases- in that case and this the same thing is happening- the oil is not able to go anywhere, and come out the path of least resistance- the oil filter.

something is wrong in your engine, it needs to be inspected.

Couple of things I'm thinking...
1: I wonder what kind of oil pressure it's making while it's running before it pops the hole in the filter. If when the motor was assembled they used the wrong rod bearings it could be too tight causing excessive oil pressure. My drag bike makes nearly 100psi when it's cold and have had no problems as of yet.
2: I wonder if the oil pressure check valve is malfunctioning. I'd install a k&n oil filter, I think they use a check valve in the filter that may keep it from blowing, but it won't be filtering.

I don't have a solution for this problem, but would like to take a look at the check valve... This is the culprit, I'd suspect...
