My buddy just bought a SeaDoo RXP 215 hp supercharged ski. He was told it is the fastest production ski on the market. Is this true? Not adding any mods, but straight out of the box. Also if you think your ski actually does what the speedometer says, you really don't need to respond. Surely everyone knows they are way off. More of a sales tool than anything else.

The RXP will hit about 68 mpg. And it is supposed to be the quickest to reach the top speed.

I would think the Sea Doo would be the fastest stock one also.

My brothers friend has two of those supercharged seadoos and I heard they are one of the fastest

The RXP is the fastest production jet ski!! It'll set you back about 12-13 grand though!! It should be!!!

The GP1300R can just about hand with the RXP and it only has 170 hp. The seadoo had to put the supercharger on the slow 4stroke engine.

My friend got his for a little over $10.5k. Yeah those poor old slow 4 strokes, they just barely outrun the two strokes.

i know they are pricey but im wanting to know the gas mileage.. cause i can get a nice ski boat or fishing boat for around 16 grand.. if they get bad gas mileage then im going to get a boat..

82 mph on a jet ski is lots fast! Pick a calm day to try that! Fuel economy on one of those would probably be horrible. A friend has an older Yamaha and he says $20 of gas might give 1 hour of play if you weren't too heavy on the throttle. His is far less powerfull but as they say "pay to play"

I would get the boat. Skis are fun, but limited to what you can do with them. And gas mileage is not great. Gonna spend lots of wasted money on either one you get. But a Boat will hold more chicks! And beer!

neverride honda that is exactly what i was thinking.. my teacher even told me thats why he got a boat.. i know im gonna spend alot of money for repairs and such... i will be paying over 100 dollars everytime i go to the lake.. even though i do have a tundra which gets bad gas mileage due to 35 horses and a racing transmission.. so i would take my t100 which gets around 12 miles but with a boat it would get around 9.. and fillin up a boat is expensive

Get the yamaha GP1300R that thing will killa RXP if u put a yamaha riva racing stage 2 kit in it it will blow that RXP.

I had a '98 GSX Limited, the red/grey hand built model, 130hp, the king water toy at the time. I think the top speed was 62mph stock, I did a Rossier kit with pipes, bumped it up a hair over 160hp, top speed was right on 70mph. Got there really fast too. Sick on fuel, and not very reliable. Had a few day I was dog-paddling to shore with my GSX in tow.

If I get another it will be a four stroke with a sc, more reliable, and will be better on fuel too.

It should tell you something when a GP1300R is only 2-3 mph slower than a RXP with 170 hp while the RXP has 215.Don't get a sea-doo nothing but problems.

Sea Doos are good machines, but they cost a ton to get fixed/maintanced. I work at a sea-doo dealership and our whole back lot is packed with sea-doos that need fixed/serviced. We're like 2+ weeks backed up. I will say prolly all the other brand ski's are the same just some better than others. Sea-Doos are fun to ride though when their working at their full 100%. So unless you know how to fix your sea-doo your going to pay to play, I hate to say.
