. They want us to walk on foot up a mountain KEEP THE COMMENTS CLEAN at the sight of some birds through a spotter scope!

The funny thing is we spend more times than them out in the woods enjoying it than they do!!!

The funny part where he counter our claim that we bring money to the local economy but we don't cause our loud machine drive away other paying customers.
Me and my 6 buddys are going spend more money satying at HatfeildMccoy fror a week than any other hiker EVER will!!!

I am BS after watching this video, USA land of the free and he wants us to sit home like him and hang bird feeders around our house

After watching this video am I the only one who wants to punch this guy????

I found 2 contacts for authors of the book on the webpage, I am going to email them and not being rude BUT not being nice either, and that he and his book is basically a communist spreading his conformist propaganda. He is basically saying we should conform to his lame lifestyle

After watching your 16 minute "Thrill craft" video online I felt the need to write this letter.

                By watching this video I am going to guess your hobbies/lifestyle and I am going to tell you what kind of person you are. At the 9:30 you call all "thrillcraft" riders bad people saying quote "The entire barrel is rotten" well you pre judged me so I will pre judge you, I think you are a "Pinko-commie-tree hugging hippie" that just likes to hear the sound of you own voice. What comes out of your mouth is nothing short of communist propaganda and you want everyone to conform to your life style and beliefs!

          I would like to counteract some of you points.
1. At 2:51 you explain that atv's carry weed seed long distances and let them spread. I would put money down saying animals carry 2000x more on there fur,skin, and feet that atv's do.

2. At 3:40 "Thrillcraft noise can cause inner ear bleeding to kangaroo rats" you have to be kidding me right? In one of you statements it sounds like you support hunting, I can hunt and kill kangaroo rats but if he has an ear infection from my loud atv you are going to bring it to the nearest animal hospital??

3. At 5:05 you talk about the smog that our vehicle's release into the air, I understand your gripe, I want clean air also but pick a better battle with China I guarantee the smog they relese will kill you and your kangaroo rat 5 million times faster that my snowmobile will.

4. At 5:17 you talk about the dust our atv kick up, and it shows a picture of the desert. how is a few dozen atv going to do more dust damage than one common sand storm will?

5. At 5:55 you talk about how atv's negatively impact hunting land by ripping up animals habitats and home's but yet we can hunt and kill them? kinda seems like an oxymoron?

6. At 6:45 you say "thrillcrafts kill 800 people every year, I bet just as many as you hikers/naturalists get killed by bears,snakes,getting lost etc.

7. At 8:30 you say that we are not supporting local economy cause our machines scare away other customers, this could be your stupidest assumption yet!!! In most, not all trail systems the economy survives just fine with motorizes vehicle's but if you take away them and just do non motorized activity's they don't stand a chance. go to the Glamis CA sand dunes at times you will find tens of thousands of atv's there for week long periods, give me an example of where YOUR people do that for the economy?

8. At 11:18 you talk about people hammering away at rocks for souvenirs, thats hikers/tourist's not atv's we have no interest.

9. At 15:40 you talk about the problem with obesity and you plan will get people to walk in the woods, this is coming from a fat guy myself the only way my fat **** is going in the woods is with 750cc between my legs. How many obese people do you see walking in the woods?? Thank you

         To sum this up basically you are calling for the ban and destruction of all "thrillcrafts" I understand conservation but you want a total halt to all thrillcrafts are you crazy or just a little slow in the head? Tens of millions of people across the world enjoy "thrillcrafts". I think you need to respect peoples hobbies and lifestyles and work on conservation not a total shutdown cause that again is illogical and your communist, conformist propaganda.

I will end this with my favorite comedy bit from the late George Carlin:

We've got a lot more people like this moving into the area (usually coming from the city). These people are buying up large tracts of land and trying to get all land shut off to motorized vehicles. They have a lot of the same comments saying that we ruin the land and don't support the economy. They usually support mountain bikes and hikers only. The fact is, when me and ten of my buddies go to the local store and load up on gas, beer, soda, snacks, and whatever else - we spend around $300 +. Ten mountain bikers / hikers pull in to the store and buy a few bottles of water and they're out of there for $20-$30.

These are the same people that I've past on the legal atv trail and theyve given me dirty looks like I shouldn't be there, and they should. I've caught a bunch of them trying to figure out how to hike to the top of the moutnain through my land (which has a no tresspassing sign at the beginning of the driveway). I never put the sign up, until more and more of "these" people started tromping over my land, which has no hiking trails. If they would look at a map, they would no they are going the wrong way.

These people also doen't think about how these trails stay open. Most of our hiking trails around here, are also snowmobile /atv trails which are also open to jeeps / trucks. The only reason these trails are here in the first place is because a log skidder made them. When trees fall down after wind storms, we (atv's, snowmobiles, jeeps, trucks, loggers) clear the trails out and keep them open (for eveyone).

These poeple need a life!!!

i couldnt even watch that hole video clip! that had to be one of the most ignorant things i have ever watched in my life...but on the other hand im glad you posted that clip to remind me that there are people that stupid in this world and to call us self centered is a slap in the face considering he was the one that is self centered trying to take away what us a.k.a thrillcrafters are all about this is a life style that we have all become apart of... i have raced motocross all my life and the pics he showed are in a self contained area that was designed for doing just what them people was doing...the only thing else he could have done to make that video any worse is say we shouldnt have gun rights cause we are killing away the majority of wild life in our country and let him walk out his back door and get his a** ran down by a deer cause they have been over populated i would love to see that happen to some one thats as self centered as the author of that hipacritical video was! yall got my .02! man with people like that in our country i dont see how we have all this drama between countrys! tree huggin son of a (well you know)!

Wow. That is incredibly one sided and harsh. I think if he had presented it in a more balanced manner, more people would consider some of his points. But, it is awfully hard to take anything he says with seriousness when it is an all-out bash session. Jdizzle, send it!!!

If they are that concerned about the wilderness they should be trying to stop all the new construction. How many critters do you think the new Wal mart superstore down the road displaced. Or better yet, get rid of all buildings and replant all the trees and live in tents! I agree on consevation to a point but, there is a difference between scratching you butt and tearing yourself a new ****!

My favorite part of the 4 minutes I made through it:

Did anyone else catch that? That was pretty lame but what are you going to do. Those type of people do exist in the country.

I didn't make it through the whole thing but I think it's funny how his "message" started about ALL "thrillcrafts and converged on ORV's. My bet is he's a hypocrit(SP?). $20 says he's a nascar fan

What a Joke! I need to find the author of this ... junk! I want to ask them a few questions about this and see if they researched any local or national off road clubs. We try so hard to not abuse but preserve our spots and trails that its not funny!!! These are the same guys who used to own big blocks and muscle cars, and probrobly still do. Now they are worried about the enviroment! lol What a joke! No wonder you havnt got a reply.
