I need some help with my snorkel set on my 08 Arctic Cat 500 Auto. I dont have enough air going. Should I turn around that peice that connects to the air box and T it so that I would have to pipes for the air intake, or should I just re-jet it? Also what should I do about on my transmission exaust. On the 08 there is only on pipe going in and one out for the trans. It is really tite if any of you have a 08 you know what I mean! Would putting a K&N air filter help out with the air intake sytem. I new to this so thanks for yalls help. Pictures would help the most.

man i got a 08650 h1, and i have a 2in snorkel and i have alot of bends in mine, and it was still getting way to much air, i have a 2" to 1 and a half reducer in mine until i get it rejeted, try taking your hand and covering up some of the pipe and see if it isnt getting too much air.

Well you have a good idea but....what I did a while back was take the air box off and drive it around and I had tuns of power again more than before...so thats when I figured out that I didnt have enough air.

most people have to rejet because a 2" snorkel will let in more air than the carb is set up for. your best bet is to pull your spark plug and see what color it is. the whiter the plug the leaner the mix and the blacker the plug the richer the mix. so if you pull your plug and it is black then you are correct in assuming that you are not getting enough air. but i think it will be white.
