Well most of you know I am going to IRS the rancher. Just waiting on my parts. I plan on just putting all the stock rincon rear on it. UNTIL maybe a few months or maybe even the first of the year. Then have other plans. Guess what I am asking you all is should I do a 4" or 6" lift. I am kinda leaning towards the 4" because it would be more trail friendly. Tell me what you guys think ...

4" or 6" would cost the same. I am making my own lift. I am a welder/fab. Thats not the issue. Either lift requires ape legs and they would cost the same either way I go. For the people PM'ing me about the parts. I am just using the rincon rear end and fab'in it up to make it work. Its not a bolt on kinda thing.

Hey green, I was wondering how is the out put from the motor going to connect to the rear diff??? Is it going to be a u-joint or a double cv joint??? Just curious.

How about a median, a 5" lift? Still trail friendly like a 4" with the intimidation of a 6" lift. Just a thought.

But if your choices are limited to the 4" or the 6" lift, Id go with the 4". For the reasons youve stated. Still trail friendly and still intimidating.

i wouldn't go 6" unless you were going to lengthen the rear end.   the wheelbase on the 20 is kinda short and that much height may throw you center of gravity off.  i would also recommend some spacers to widen it out some to give you some more stability.  not to mention it makes a huge....huge difference in the pit.  i'm looking forward to seeing it come together, it will be a nice looking bike.  are you going to powder coat eveything?  good luck, be sure to post some in process pics.

Well I am hoping the driveshaft from the rincon will work with my U-joint. I will find out soon. He is sending that part first. I am thinking more on the 4" myself. Greg told me to keep the axles around 32 degrees to be real safe since I ride it more than just to bog race. I will have everything powdercoated silver when I do it. I am going to get all the stock rincon stuff on there first and then go from there.

For the person that wanted action pics/vids. ...

I may be off on this, but wouldnt a 4" lift make it to where your tires might rub the fenders?  looks like it might put them in that certain spot...
on the back at least.  or will that be extended?

I would also do like was said and make it longer, shoot i would make it atleast 4" longer if not 6" the higher you go the harder it is to keep the front end down .
I had my bike at the height and that wide and its real stable and not to wide to fit in the rutted out holes

I kinda like a 12". It's all about the "cool factor".  lol  On the real, I believe you could go 6" and still be plenty trail friendly. Hondas are fairly narrow compared to other brands. I would hate to see you do all that work and then say, " I should of went bigger!". lol
