and I was wondering If i am asking for trouble if I put a rev limiter eliminator box on my 07 ds 650,I just think it was put there for a reason.
Hoping I would get some advice from someone who has done this before

Unless you have major motor mods it would be useless. I would spend the money on something else.

Yea your powerband is goin to be out before you even hit your rev limiter. Just like Joseph Who said it would be pointless unless your motor is modded. You wont get anymore power out by takin it off.

I plan On moddin the engine A lil but not to much,And Im going to put pipes and jetts in over the winter.
I notice now With it stock when I hit the limiter I still have quite A bit of throttle left.
I gps'ed It before I broke it in it did 74 on gravel.I think now that i broke it in it'll go faster than that,it feels alot faster.

Just remember. Its not top speed its how fast you get there. Save the money and get an airfilter or tires, they will give you more of a performance increase than no rev. limiter. Also something not many people know about is how much power is lost through the heavy driveline on those bikes. Do a 520 chain conversion and you will def. feel more power.

Yeah Ive been riding Since I was about 7,But never really modded anything, not really even pipes,so I'm going to work my way slowly up to doing more stuff. But if i ever have a few mods I should prolly look into the rev limiter.

Im actually getting into this cause my brother has a 01 banshee with pipe and jets we clocked him at 82. i dont need to be faster just the same lol.\
the d.s. gives it a run for its money though.

One thing to keep in mind is on alot of bikes it is suggested that you upgrade your valves/springs when running an aftermarket CDI.

YES, a pipe and proper jetting are the best upgrades you can do to your bike for more power.
