Hi all,

I'm looking at a used Polaris 2007 500. It is listed as an H.O. model but I'm thinking it may ALSO have EFI? I've read a lot about these machines but I'm still confused as to whether H.O. and EFI are mutually exclusive, or if a H.O. machine can also have EFI. Can anyone give me an easy way to determine if the bike DOES have EFI?

If it is an efi it will say efi on the headlight pod also look at top rear of the motor itb will have a throtle body instead of a carb.

The carb model will have a choke to the left of the key.

i believe it can be both H.O. and efi also, as because my 06 has both the efi stickers on the pod and h.o. on the gas tank cover

There's also the simple fact...

They didn't make a 500 carb in 2007. They stopped making it that year, but there was enough demand that it came back in 08.

as soon as u turn on the ket of an efi bike, u can hear the fuel pump and wat not. the carb will be nothing but probly and ignition click like all other carb bikes.
