Does anyone know of a way that I could hook the travel trailer to the back of the truck.

I have a Crew Cab short bed 1/2 ton chevy and when I put the four wheeler in the back I have to leave the tail gate down, the back tires sit in the middle of the tailgate.

I bought one of those LA Gaurd dog hitches and it worked great when I had a pop up but now im not sure how well it will work on a travel trailer, it says its only handles 400lb tongue weight.

when i had my chevy i short bed i used to pull the tailgate off and let it rest on the bumper but i pulled as close to the window as i could. but it was my vinsion as well. never tried it with a popo as i got rid of the truck b4 i bought it. but just my 2 cents. might be worth trying.

Get a new truck - it will solve all your problems. They are cheap right now too. You can even get a real motor in the new truck to pull the trailer!!!
