Hey guys, I have seen a ton of posts on how to snorkle a King Quad so I will do a write up so we can make it a sticky. I have snorkle my 06 King Quad but it will work with any year model. Some people may not like how I snorkled mine because of some of the materials I used and the way I sealed it up but I have had it done for almost a year now with no problems what so ever. They are other ways of doing it but this is what I used and how I did mine. Materials: 1) 1-Box of 2 1/2 Shop Vac Hose 2) 5-90* Street Elbows with no necks on one end, and 1 Hard 90* 2" 3) 3-Male Threaded Connecters 4) 3-Female Threaded Connecters 5) 1-Section of 2" PVC (White or Black) 6) 2-Rolls of High Temp Duct Tape 7) 2-Rolls of Electrical Tape 8) 1-Tube of Black SiliconeII 9) Bag of Zip Ties and some Clamps 10) Some Screws to hold hose in PVC 11) 2 1/2 Cut out for the fenders Steps for Belt Intake: 1) Ok first I took off the stock snorkle and engine covers. 2) Then I used the 3" end that comes in the Shop Vac hose and put the hose inside that. 3) Then used a screw to hold the hose inside the 3" end and used electrical tape to completly seal and block of the hose from the 3" end to about 5" up the Shop Vac Hose. 3) Then I put the High Temp Duck Tape over that about half way up the hose going to the right fender. 5) I then measured out how long I would need it to be from the bottom to the fender and then cut 6) After that I placed the Shop Vac Hose in one of the Female connecters and screwd and then taped it off to seal. 7) Cut a hole in fender with your cut out. 8) Cut out how long you want your snorkle with your section of 2" PVC and then use PVC Glue to hold it to the Male Connecter and one of your 90* Angles and then screw in and your done. How to Snorkle Belt Exhuast: 1) Take off stock snorkle and rear tires. 2)Get 2 of your 90* street bends and 1 hard 2" 90* Glue your two street 90* together to make a half moon and then glue your hard 90* to the end with no neck to make a question mark looking configuration. 3) Then stick the Shop Vac hose into the other end of the street 90* and screw and tape off with the electrical tape and then 3 or 4 wraps of the 4) High Temp Duck Tape, all the way and make it about as long as the length of the KQ. 5) Then you will need to add alot of the High Temp Silicone to the outer edge of the hard 90* and stick it inside of your belt cover and then clamp down and wait till it drys (this is the part that alot of people dont like, but it works) 6) Feed the shop vac hose either on top or bottom of your drivetrain ( what I did here was take off my gas tank and drill two holes and then zip tied the hose up against the tank cover to keep it up and away from the drivetrain) and then run it on the left side of your machine right below the engine but right on the skid plate sandwiching it in with your floorboards. 7) Then measure out how long you will need and then stick the Hose into another Female connecter and screw and tape off. 8) Then follow #8 on the Belt intake and your done with the belt exhuast. How to Snorkle the Air Intake: 1) Take Air Box off 2) Take top of the covering over where the air gets in, just easier to work with. 3) Find a peice of hard plat plastic big enough to cover the whole after you take out the rubber thing pointing down. 4) Place plastic over the whole and silicone tight. 5) Then say if your sitting on the bike you will need to cut a hole in the right side front of the airbox ( not the side top or bottom) 6) Then another peice will come in the Shop Vac Hose that fits perfect into the hole and more of the Hose fits into that to run to the fender. 7) You will need to screw and tape up that end and use the silicone to seal up the peice that goes into your airbox and your done with that part 8) Follow #8 on how to snorkle a belt intake and your done. Thats all there is to it after painting and extending your vent lines and dielectric grease all your connections and spark plug. Like I said some people might not like the way I did it but it works. Please let me know if you need any help and I will also get better pics tommorrow. Thanks. Hope it helps. Thumbnail Image
