back earlier in the year i built a snorkel for a rancher es. 1.5" pvc fits into the airbox, and i ran it all the way to the back of the left front fender, where i put on an adapter and swapped to 2" pvc. then i just went arround the inside of the fender with sum elbow peices and more pvc. drilled a hole in the fender and brought the riser pipe out and secured it to the rack. i attatched a threaded pipe coupler to the rack so the riser pipes can be swapped out easily, just by screwing em on and off. and the diff. brake and fan vents are all taped into the piping with brass fittings. it mite sound complicated, but its not too bad

you should use 1 1/2 pipe, spaflex can be bought at homedepot or lowes and it can be gluded to pvc or abs, you may need to come out of the air box with 2" then reduce it to 1 1/2. as far as vent lines you should have at least 1 or 2 on the rear diff, and the crankcase vent should go to the airbox. make sure you use dielectric grease on all your plugs.
