Sup guys,

I drive an AC V2.  My cousin just bought a new brute 750.  Its a killer machine.  Do you guys recomend running in low when running aggressive up to about 40 mph?

I put 1600 miles on my first belt. It still looked good when I replaced it. I bet all but 5 miles were in low range driving it like I stole it.  I thought the clutch set up on the brutes were the same as my cat.

Thanks,
Ethan650

On stock tires no need for low really, but on the bigger more aggressive tires yes. I can count on one hand how many times my quad has even been in high. LOL

I can get a little over 40 on my cat.  I have red/bright springs in my clutches that were put in at the dealer when i bought it.
I have never gone that fast on his brute.  I only took it for a shot drive the day he got it.  He has 27" dirt devils on it.

Thanks for the info guys.
Im going back over to the Arctic Cat forum...cya

The only time i use low is if I'm mud riding or pulling a load. For just normal trail riding i keep it in high range. No problems yet but I'm not running heavy aggressive tires either.

you can run low range till it tops out at 35 - 40 mph. if he had a vfj stage 3 spider mod clutch 55 - 60 in lowrange and 75 - 80 in high range with the right motor.

lowrange for tight trails at speeds under 15. anything over 15 high range. low range for mudding and water crossings, run high range for speed and cruising.

low is the way to go on the brutes, the belt system is not that great and unless your running stock tires, keep it in low. my motto was only put it in high if your on a dirt road or no-resistance trails

yea but looking at your quad, it looks like you only ride mud...NOT ME, i ride wide open trails, so i use high alot, but like i said, under 10 mph i use LOW
