Lookin at gettin RZR with 6" CATVOS... What are some thoughts on this lift and setup?  Does it pretty much kill your chances of goin where the stock RZR go as far as width and size??  Also, can someone explain the difference between 2008 GEN 1, 2, and 3????

tbonesgrizz. I have a 08 RZR with the 6" CATVOS lift and I love it. As far as going where a stock one goes you shouldn't have much problems, granted it'll be a LIL tighter. The lift makes it bout 11 inches wider depending on tire choice. The CATVOS lift was my second best mod. My best mod is ......... (not saying). I rode mine lifted and lawed at the merrango suicide ride and made it! They are fun and the mods are endless. Good luck!

Generally build dates, with slight improvements each time.Watch for motor problems in #1&2 because of a bad intake design. However evan #3 is far from perfect in that area as well.

That is what I was told about the Gen 1,2,3 deal myself, but was unsure.  I have been told that a good snorkel design and slight mods will prevent this air box/motor dirt sucking problem.

I have alot of mods except for the CATVOS lift.  My wife doesn't want her ride any bigger.  Says its just rite.  Anyways we went riding this weekend at Gator Run in E. Texas and there were several trails she would not have made it through or at least would have had to work alot harder had it been any wider.   I have a Gen 1 and have already had to have the tranny rebuilt.  Know one can explain what happened and how it cracked the housing.    It is true about the air boxes they do stink but if you seal them up they work ok.  Thats why I snorkled mine as soon as I got it back from the dealership.  Its fairly easy to do.  I did it w/out cutting the bed or any OEM parts and completely did away with the stock air box.   Here's a pic of the new snorkle where the old air box use to be.
