I have had nothing but problems with my thumper kit, i installed in my 450.
I installed the kit and it rattled right away. Thought I had a bottom problem  installed a new crank, bearings, cam. I installed everything brand new and it still rattled. I removed the piston, jug, head and sent it back to the machine shop. Now I have the machinist saying it was the kit, and thumper saying it was the machinist.  This is bull, I called thumper and they act like it not there problem.  The machinist is trying to help.  I have over a 1000 dollars in a machine I can't drive. I will never ever buy another thumper product.  When a company won't stand behind the product they ain't worth spit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad bore job to me.  Have you isolated it to a faulty product that Thumper sold you?  I've seen way to many Foreman BBK problems come from shoddy machine work.

I would take the stuff to another shop and get a second opinion.

The machinist is actually very reputable and has done hundreds of bores for pro racing machines from quads to stock cars to just about anything else.  Looks like it was more of a Thumper problem, including the customer service.

I've got a Thumper kit in my 450 right now.  Not a problem one with it.  Until it's isolated and documented to a single faulty part, I'd still put my money on a bad bore job.  I've found over the years that the Foreman machine work creates problems for even the most experienced machinist.  I don't know if they just speed through it and treat it like the rest of the jpbs they do, but I've only found a few local places that can get the job done, and I've seen several that can't.  When they get it wrong, it causes issues.
