The autoparts stores usually have header pipe paint, that would be your best bet. I think you can order it online from Summit or Jegs too. It's essintally high temp paint, may be the same stuff they sell at the home improvement stores.

Engine paint will burn off.  You need header paint.  It's available at any auto parts stores.  It has an insanely high temp rating.

^ do you think what wont affect it? If you are refering to the heat not affecting it you have lost your mind. I used engine paint on my exhaust snorkal and it "melted" and flaked off. I went to advanced auto parts and bought the header paint and I haven't had any problems. It looks the same as the day I painted it. The header paint is the only way to go. I think my can said something like 1500* heat temp or something insane like that.

No but I doubt it is higher than 1500 degrees. LOL If you are that worried about it send it off and have it ceramic coated. It will look great and cut down on the heat alot too.

Ceramic coating=$200 to $300
Header paint=$7.95
Krylon Grill paint=$4.95
All of those hold up well; I've tried all three.
Powder coating won't take the heat.
