what about the ones at walmart, I think they are kolpin's. Has anyone ever tried those? I think they have built in rear view mirrors.

I just put them (Kolpin w/ Mirrors) on my new Grizz and my wife's new Rancher AT.  I like them.  I bought them on clearance for $30 each pair.  I had to modify them a little.  The handle bar mount did not want to go around our handle bars so I had to re shape them.  You cant tell now that they are installed.  There is a spacer in there that allows you to be able to adjust to accomidate your brake handle/placement.

I hope this helps out.

Thanks, I have always seen them and wanted to get some but I was curios about a fits all bike product and how much re engineering I would have to do. Looks like I have another excuse to go back to waly world.

What I did was install the handle bar mount with the set screw provided.  Then I used a pair of channel locks and bent the rubber coated bracket open enought to fit around the handle bar tubing.  Then when I got it where I wanted it I used the same pair of channel locks and squeezed it back together to get the mounting bolt through.  The first on took a few mins to figure out a way to make it work.  After that it took no time to do the rest.

I like the Powermadd's. The mounting brackets are solid aluminum...very solid.

Powermadds is what I have and I like them. I had looked at the Kolpin handgaurds and they just seemed kinda cheap to me. I picked up my Powermadds used.
