i need some help on desiding on what to do i have smoked lenses on my headlights and i need some more light during the night because the covers take up alot of light. i bought some silverstars ultras the other day and i can tell a differance by looking at the light without the smoked lenses on... but when i put the covers on i cant tell a differace and didnt seem worth $50 so i didnt even try them out going down the road... i was wondering about putting some HID lights on the truck but i hear a bunch of storys with the ballest and the bulbs allways going out even with a good set but is there anybody on here with HIDs and how do you like them.. i mean i would love to have some bright lights like HID but i dont think i would like to drive without any lights haha.. i would just like to get in my truck and have bright lights and not have to take the covers off every time i drive the truck at night

HIDS all the way i have 10000K in my Z71 and i love them i have low and high beam. high beam is super bright. on a dark road you can see them for more than a mile. well  worth the money.

A few times one of my head lights hasn't turned on when the truck came on but i just turned the lights off and on and it came right on.

I have no idea but they are defiantly a lot brighter than stockers.

were the ultras for your 2005 dodge in your profile. If so how much would you take for them if they are 9007 lights

Dont blame you for that taking them back. how much of a difference was there between them and stock lights

i cant tell you what they look like going down the road becuase i never tried it. but i can tell you is when i was looking at em they looked like a much brighter and whiter light,  looks like it would help but im not sure i would go out and spend $50 on them if your stock bulbs are not burned out yet... they just were not enough to shine through the smoked lenses..
