Hi I have an 03 Grizzly and I started out for years running the Yamaha oil filter. I know it's good and it's also expensive anymore. I've found out from here that alot of you guys run other brands and I started using them also. The filter that's on there right now that I'm going to change soon for the winter when I change the oil is a Purolator PL4612. My question is I just got a Federated oil filter a couple days ago (FL113F) and was wondering what anyone thought of them and if it's o.k to use. Thank's, Adam

Never heard of them. But I did find this info on another website a little while back. Helped me out. Maybe you can use it. Don't know where the testing for this came from tho.

These Oil Filters have 20 x 1.5mm threads, 14 psi by-pass valve, anti-drain back valve, 2.3" O.D. gasket 2.5" to 3.5" long. If you have the room, I recommend the longer filters.

Motorcycle Filters (not recommended)
Yamaha: 5GH-13440-00-00
Purlator: ML16817
Fram: PH6017A
NAPA: 1358
WIX: 51358
AC: 2057
AMSOIL: SMF-103

Recommended Filters - about 2.5 inches long.
Purolator Pure One: PL14612
Mobil: M1-108
Bosch: 3300

Recommended Filters - about 3.25 inches long.
Purolator Pure One: PL14610
Mobil: 1 M1-110
Bosch: 3323
WalMart SuperTech: ST7317

I've never heard of them, but I've always used the Fram filter, because the WalMart close to me never carries the SuperTech filter.
