Just got my first ATVs.  Looking to see who is from the GT area (Beaumont, PA, Orange, etc) and where you ride.  Lets hit it up.

Congrats on the new ride.  As soon as I sell this racing quad I aquired in the trade I will be looking for another 4x4, most likely a newer Foreman.  What is in Mauriceville?  I hunt in Buna and go through there fairly often.

I've heard of the rebel hunting club and hog wallow.  Is the rebel hunting club always open?  How do you get access and can someone give me directions?  I've heard rumors of hog wallow being expensive and not worth it.

Also, does anyone have pics of the rebel hunting club?  Is it all mud or some trails too?

Nederland here............We were in Mauriceville yesterday, left about 7:30 last night,  its a good place for all kinds of riding, if you want the deep nasty stuff its there and if not there are plenty of other places to ride.  We go there pretty often with at least 4 or more bikes.

The last time we all went to Rebel it was pretty bad, a bigger bike on outlaws is probably the easier way to ride out there....

Hog wallow looks like it may crash and burn unless they let people actually ride out there more than once a month.  Its a pretty cool place to ride If you know the land and know where to go .   There is a ton of acreage and great amenities, but its not going to be open again untill the new year.  Its been closed since Hurricane Gustav !!!!!

What did you get?

Go through bridge city, turn left on 62 and head into Mauriceville.  Go over the bridge and when you come to the red light turn right. You are going to pass Tuffy's, Orange savings bank and the Methodist church all on your left.  About 100 yards or so past the church there is a rock road on your left that goes into the woods, watch carefully its easy to miss.  It opens up to an area u can park and you will see the trail going into the woods.   Don't go alone unless you have a winch

Mauriceville was nice yesterday, we haven't had any problems with the cops unless your really loud close to the houses but we only pass them going in and coming back to the trucks.  The cops only mess with you if you get on Hwy. 12, last time that happened my buddy ended up in cuffs.
Cop thought he was "evading" him.   A orange county sherrif told us that it is ok to ride out there and that he rides there himself.    The only bad thing is that the property is for sale..

I traded my jeep for an 02 Rancher with a 375bbk, lifted on 27 outlaw msts and an 04 yfz 450 all pimped out.  I would like to find a place to ride both but this 450 is so freaking loud.

The legality issue worries me about Mauriceville as I don't want to stir up anything, especially my first time out, lol.  My brother is a Jeff County Deputy but I don't think it would help any.

So it sounds like the rebel hunting club is all mud, or at least there isn't much in the way of trail riding.  I am really looking for somewhere (at least for this week) that has a little mud but I don't feel like swamping the bike since I just changed the oil and brakes yesterday, lol.

Anyone going anywhere Friday?  I have a friend or two that might want to go if someone wants to show us around.

Well a buddy of mine did take his racing quad out there, I think it was a suzuki 450 or whatever, and it was stretched and lowered.  Anyways it lasted about and hour and a half then the clutch burned up.

Don't know if we're going back out this weekend or not yet.

Redrum, the link you sent me didnt work.  I found the myspace page but it was private too so I am waiting to be accepted.

When you ride at Rebel is there always someone there to collect money or something?  How does it work?  I think me and a buddy are going Friday.

Hogwallow is a F'n joke. Rebel is fun, but alot of mud. M-Ville is pretty much my favorite.  But once you go to Crosby, you'll be spoiled.

That's pretty much what I've heard about Hogwallow.  I would like to try M-ville but still a little worried about the legal issues.  Anyone want to meet me Friday and show me around either Rebel or M-ville?
