This is all I could find about the rules. Looks like you will have to have a helmet if your under 18. http://coalcreekohv.com/main/ohv_rules

They don't enforce anything, but after you see it you might want a helmet. Get a map. You will need it. Bring extra gas. Bring something to build a fire just in case. And also bring more clothes. It is colder on the top of the mountains than it is in the parking lot. Just bring everything. lol But it is alot of fun.

State law: helmets are required for anyone under 18. They do enforce that.

You will need a waiver signed by your parents if you are under 18.  You should be able to print it somewhere off www.windrockatv.com.    Coal Creek has a section on there.  Coal Creek is the actual property owner.

Have fun and carry extra gas.  Buy a map at the snack shack.  It's not perfect anymore but it will point you in the general direction you need to go if you get lost.  It's a BIG place.

350rancherboy glad you and your crew are safe from the accident, and had a good time there riding.
A bunch of us are going down there for at least 3 days next August and staying at the Windrock Park.   Did you run across many other mudpits and water areas there?  Been debating on taking my Laws off for the ride and going with something more suitable for trails, but if there's a lot of opportunities for mud action there I'll keep them on and just take it easy on the hardpack.

Definitely take your laws off.  In August you will do well to find a damp spot much less mud holes.  Keep in mind that Windrock is rocky mountainous trails.  There are some mud holes but few and far between.  MST's or Bighorns are a lot more at home on the 'rock than Outlaws.

A few buddies and I are planning to go up Friday after Thanksgiving if we get off work.  We are afraid we are going to have to work Saturday and Sunday.

Sorry to hear about your wreck but glad no one got hurt.

Next time y'all come up, give me a yell.  If I can get away from work, I would be up for a ride.  The economy hasn't hurt our work.  We are printers for the food industry. We are working 7 days a week.  Good $$$$ but we never get a day off to go ride.
