Well, took the XP for a little ride today. Put 34 miles on her. A lot of sand, climbing and stuff. I got 19 MPG. Which will give me over 100 miles per tank. I'm pretty stoked! I have 75 miles on the XP now and it's not broken in yet. I may see over 20 once she's broken in!

Ya, I didn't think it would be as good as it is on fuel. It seems to get twice as good as a 800 or my BF750 I had, and with more power. Really comparable to the Sp500 EFI for fuel also.

Is everyone running premium in the 800 and 850 here?

Come on down for the Nationals and you will have to calculate the gallons per hour.

I burnt 4 tanks in 4 days & nights and only logged 56 miles on the odometer.

Dang near needed to carry fule with you to get to the sand pit and back because of the traffic.

Got far better gas mileage then beer mileage though, every time I turned around I was out of beer!!

I look at gallons per hour...now that it is broken in my average riding speed it less than 5mph,lol. About 90% low range for me though twisting tight trails through mud, over hills and climbing over dead fall trees. I get about 8-10 hours per tank. About 1.7 hours per gallon. Compared to my 800 in those same conditions that is AWESOME. The 800 would get about 1.2 avg. I assume it is the higher low range that increased the efficiency, although I think if they went any higher it would have had the opposite effect. During break in I rode a little more open road but still my average speed was probably lower than most peoples,I got about 13-15 mpg. I have no doubt if I did alot of 35-60mph riding the mileage would be alot better. It seems as though the 850's cruising RPM actually decreases at those speeds, although I haven't confirmed that.. I know it isn't revving as high as my 800 did at those speeds.
