Ok so a couple months ago a friend of mine took his brute out and sank it...ok so nothing to major, cleaned it right out put fresh oil in then drained it and re-did the step a few times. Got it running again, then it started leaking oil but he didnt realize it untill his motor ceased up. Problem is when it ceased up it blew a hole in the side. Local mechanic says we need to find a completely new motor. So my question is, how much and where to start looking. It's a 2006 750i. Both of us have been looking around for anything even a 650 motor. But nothing is around. So what now???

I have an 07 brute that blew the head gaskets, I was considering parting out if it is going to be an arm and a leg to repair. It runs now, but when you shut it off it will leak coolant into the cylinders.

You can't buy a crate motor from kaw. You'll have to rebuild the motor your self. A stock rebuild is like 1800 rebuild with goodies 2700, 840 with rebuild 3900

hey i got an idea..................LET IT GO!  YOUR DOIN YOUR THING...........FLYNT IS DOING HIS!

and to the original poster.......you can go wrong with Flynt's work.  He has built me MANY VERY strong motors that have proven themselves in MANY places.  you could ship him your motor and discuss what you want and he could ship it back faster than ever.

Flynt does good work and I'm sure you'd be very happy with his rebuild job on your motor.  However, if I lived in Canada, I'd probably go to Fundy simply b/c Fundy is located in Canada and you would not have to mess with shipping over the border/paying customs, etc.  Just a suggestion.

Happy trails...:)
