Ok here is my question here. I am looking at a 88 4x4 300 fourtrax, does anyone know how the transfer case works on a 300? Does it have gears or chains and does it have clutches?? Thank yall!!!

ok do you know where i can find scamatics for the transfer case? I am tring to figure out why the 4 wheel drive is not working. It has good drive shaft and front chunk.

on Honda OEM part sites they have pics of them broken down into all their pieces. that may help a little. ?

its most likely not your transfer case. they hardly ever go out.

Are you sure the coupler isn't bad/slipping on the drive shaft ..

Not real sure it isnt mine yet but i was trying to figure out what it could be before I bought if so i can get an idea what it will cost to fix it. It has no popping what so ever and i rode it in 2 wheel drive shifts well

Well I bought a 1988 Fourtrax 300 4x4, I am trying to figure out if they make a 2" lift for it. I see all kinds for a 1998 and above but not for mine. Will this lift kit work or can I mod this kit so I can make it work for mine??? Any help would be great and appriciative!!

yes it will work you will just have to get some spacers for it the only difference is the shock mounts on the front are wider on the newer ones
