What do U guys use down there for guide lines for mud bog competions that are not timed... Like when U race two of more units at a time? Round robin? Any tips are appreicated as I am currently in charge of doing this for a event on Sept. 13 this year. We have many classes and a large area for the event. NBM.

think at nationals they were racing 4 wide in the mud bog and i dont think it really mattered where u lined up when u start

i mean like they put u in order from left to right and u have to stay in that order but if the left guy lines up rite on the edge then the next guy is rite on the side of him and then the 3rd guy lines up like 4 bikes over and then the 4th bike lines up like 2 more bikes over...i dont think that really matters at all though, if u wanna restrict them in anyway you could maybe put some kinda flagging up to funnel them in at the starting line and after they start off they can go wherever

i think i saw in a video as well that they put stacks and flagging up for each lane so that is how they started off, may be less confusing and quicker that way

You know, it's a shame that your bite isn't near as notorious as your bark! Otherwise, your game might get the amount of respect you feel it deserves!
Double elimination ensures that each person will be able to make at least two runs before loading it up on the trailer. You know as well as I do that more often than not, lane choice is 75% of the battle.

Oh, i'm learning what to do with it. I've ran it in 3 events so far - broke an axle the first time which put me in 2wd, placed in the second and got beat by prolly less than a foot by a guy who placed second on a 2-seater CanAm. Not too bad i think. So yeah, i'll bring it and run anything you've got and i'll promise you you'll have to run hard to beat me!! BTW, I won more on my ole stock PoPo 700 than any of my other machines against built Brute 750's and Can-Am 800's. So i'm not going for the "my poor lil PoPo 700" bull.   Don't talk about it, be about it! That's the reason your back to square one now.

It's a 700 Twin Peaks. Just like your Rancher is a 350.   Anyways, you're a better rider and you're running crushlocks. That should be more than enough to beat little ole me.

Like someone said, we're all one big disfunctional family!!   If I didn't love being around everyone associated with this sport, I would've found another hobby.

This is totally off subject but you said it right there...everyone is just one big dysfunctional family! It seemed like, and still does sometimes, that this sport was just going downhill (not the racing in particular, it's always good!) the drain with a bunch of BS bickering but here lately it seems like everyone is kinda coming together and everyone's all good after the races...everyone's friends for the most part! Phew, pardon my rant and sorry if that made no sense! :)

...back on subject!

I think this goes on in every sport.  Not to compare ours to Nascar, but have you seen the way they treat each other?!!?!?!?  I'm not condoning it in anyway...its just being competitive.

Right, I'm just stating how competitive it is in the pits, then afterwards lots of the teams can get together, eat, drink, have a good time and THAT'S what I love about this sport!

For me, it's always been like that behind the scenes. I've never had a single cross word with anyone involved in mud racing. I don't take the trash talk personal and if my trash talking ever offended anyone I would quickly withdraw and appoligize both on here and in person asap.
Dakota and I have always given each other crap. But, I think we both understand that it's just part of the fun of competing. No hard feelings are ever intended from either side. Even if we deal low blows sometimes! It's all in good fun!  No harm, no foul. Heck, at the end of the day it's all still 4-wheeler ridin' to me!

Thats pretty much true.. Aint a day goes by that I dont speak with someone from another race team. Most of the times we're even camping with each other AND we will be this weekend. Alot of the times, the issues that you hear about are blown waaay out of proportion by someone who has no clue what they're talking about.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the trash talking.  I love it, I think its funny.  I think its great that we all gang up after a race and have a good time together.  There's nothing wrong with being competitive.  And at least we can all (for the most part) still be friends at the end of the day.
