I put a S&B cold air intake on my 2004 F150(new body) it its very loud and annoying.I did notice an increase in fuel mileage and horsepower however the setup is just too noisy.It is the S&B type with the sealed air box and the clear lid.
Its so noisy that it shakes the cab of the truck when the engine is under load.
I took the setup off and returned it to stock.Is there a cold air intake that isnt so noisy?I did expect some extra noise because of the increased airflow but that much noise is ridiculous!! It sounds like a constipated hippo when driving down the road!!
