Well I took the new POPO deep yesterday (all the way to the pod on a water wheelie) like in my sig but deeper.
I am snorkled...
Every thing worked flawless -- no leaks, no sputter no hesitation  and i did this
for a while.

Well I go through a couple of good creek crossing at about 5 ft deep following a group of people and I stop leaving the bike running on dry land to get off and go help some people that were not doing so well in the deep water crossings. I help them through and go to get back on my bike and it has stopped running. Every thing is on but it will not turn over.

The kill switch was in the on position
I checked the battery cables and they were tight.
I crossed the solinoid and it turned over but would not fire
The fuel pump was kicking.
Sat there for about 5 minutes and turned the ignition and WAM
it fired right up for a minute then died.
I let it set there for about 20 more minutes and tried it again and it fired up and ran for the rest of the day

I know somthing had to get wet and then drie out but Im at a loss to figure out what got wet because every thing has been dielectric greased.

Has this happend to anyone else?

Water is probably sitting down in the spark plug holes.  Mine are greased but the grease will get flushed out easier than you think. I had my pad completely under quite a bit yesterday with no probs...............................

Ohhh, I see. I mis-understood........Did you try pulling in the brake lever.  Your tranny gear selector switch may have gotten wet, making it think it was in gear, therefore not letting it start.

Ya know....

This gear indicator could very well be the issue because I did pull a code 25 (Transmission Input invalid gear) while I was sittin there.
But I was holding the brake lever in.
and I was in netural.
Once it did start but then it died shortly.
and after about 10 - 15 min it started and ran with no problems......

Oh yeah man it was awsome in the water. (except I need a little more weight to keep the bike down in the deep stuff). And I know how to fix that.
Now im gonna test out the shift sensor to see if I can get it to mess up again so I can fix it.

Yeah about halfway around that lake I got off to help  some peeps through that really deep spot and went to leave with every body else and no starty start.lol

Then AL came all the way back to help me out and when he got there it fired right up and we went back to figure 8 and no more probs.

Did you happen to die-electric grease your fuse-block?  I did mine and had the same trouble, as did a friend of mine. We were losing connection from time to time in the fuse block.  Also, the prongs that hold your fuses in may have gotten loosened up thus not holding the fuse very tight. Next time it does this, try to wiggle the fuses with the key on to see if everything comes on.
