When I flip the 4x4 switch on my Honda the right front engages right away but it takes some revolutions to engage left side; time to rebuild Locker or what do you guys think.

Thanks,
Eric

When is the last time you changed the fluid? Could be time for that as well. How many miles do you have on the dgl?

Just replaced fluid and have about 1000 miles on DGL.  I was wondering if someone else has had the same experience and rebuilding cured problem.

Thanks,
Eric

It sounds to me like it needs clutches.  I dunno if I'd call it a "rebuild", but the clutches are the "center" of the whole thing.  It takes some doing...

I've not seen fluid changes really "fix" these once they don't engage right.  I've seen it with other types of devices, but once these go, they pretty much need to be made right again.

Would this be a repair that you plan on doing yourself?  Or would you be taking it to a shop?

No shop, I'd just replace friction plates; I just had everything apart to replace upper/lower ball joints............

Oh well, par for the course I guess.
