Alright guys I was brain storming how to raise some cash for the helmet drive...

Dutch oven would be cool. For the folks with no electricity ,a crock pot would be useless. it's been at least a week or so since I cooked anything in the dutch oven..

Ok so here's my Idea.
We can organize this.
I say we do a different type of cooking each day.
1st day
Dutch Oven
2nd Day
Deep Fried
3rd day
Chili

Each day we charge say 5 bucks to come and eat and be a judge.
ALL Procedes would benefit the Helmet Drive...

My personal opinion is, that is too many days. You need to make it one day. After one day most people are going to be going in 5 different directions.

i agree with kscowboy. one day, one event would work the best. chili, bbq, dutch oven. something along that line.

What about if the food was available over say 11am-1pm each day.

you can do it one day with a time limit.....you can do $5.00 donations for people to actually taste the foods. give them a plate and then they can walk around and sample all the different types. that way you have people donating for a great cause as well as a contest. you can break it down into 3 or 4 simple catagories..then an overall "best of nats" dish. entry fees 5 bucks also. you would be surprised who would pay to test the food. Give out aprons to the winners.....you can get them at walmart and have a creative person decorate them for under 10.00. (for all )

just a suggestion. I tend to have useless info and ideas that fly around in my noggin! I would pay the money to judge it and i know that my whole crew would also.

I went to a benefit ride several years ago at Mud Creek where they had a (bean or chili) cooking contest contest, and it was a success. Plus us vendors got to sample for free. Have Fritos will eat
