What would cause them to brake more parts? 1 more pound and the increased torque force to spin?

in my experience the 29.5's pull harder so it doesn't really matter.  i would personally get the 31's if you can fit them they ride way better, jmop.

there is 1 to 2 lbs difference in the 29.5 vs 31 skinnies and 5 to 6 lbs different in the wider tires (12s and 11s). I've went down to 31 skinnies all around and have really cut back on the carnage. Another difference is most 29.5s measure closer to 28.5. While the surface area increase may not seam that significant, how many times are you slinging clean tires in a mud hole. All the caked on weight is what usually hurts you. that is where the extra surface area hurts you. Still love both sizes of tires, just the 31x11s were a little to hard on the rear end

My skinny 29.5's are slightly taller than the wides, my 29.5x10's measured 29 1/8 with 6.5 psi and the wides where 28 13/16 with the same amount of air but pulled so much harder.

But remember they measure tires off a quad and not with the weight of teh quad on them, because off teh quad my 29.5x10's where just a hair under 29.5" just on the quad they squatted some

the weight difference between the two isn't the only factor, since you would need to compare rim weight as well.  a 14" rim will weigh more than the same model in a 12" rim.  not by a lot, but enough to make a difference.

Good point got wake?, HL Xl2's are pretty light in the 14" ones. But also wondering what this is going on, I see ur sn sounds like you have a 450 foreman, you are gonna need a ton of work if thats the case, but let us know what you have, thanks

31x9.5,  pretty narrow tire,  does it ride and grab well?
