My racks and baskets are starting to rust.

What would be the best coating for them?

1. Powder coating
2. Spray on bed liner
3. Rubber coating
4. Buy all new

Thanks,

KG

I think i spent like $50 bucks apeice on the racks and bumpers to get done, not positve though i got more of a "all of this stuff will cost you $480" and not to good of a break down on things.

Anyone around Baytown or surrounding Houston, TX know of a company that does quality work for a reasonable price on the bed liner.

Thanks,

KG

there are countless places around your area that does it.  johns trim shop in baytown does it. im sure any body that does truck liner will do it.  there is a place on eagle drive in mont belvieu that does it also. its only about 5min away from my house

I’m very aware of these places but haven’t personally dealt with them.
Thought I would ask around first …..good, bad or ugly

i know that johns trim shop does good truck beds. they did my truck and it hasent gone no were sence 2005.  if you get them to do your racks while they do a bed they will probably do it way cheaper.. good luck

I have seen bed liner as well as well as powder coating.  I personally chose to go with the powder coating.  Your racks are sandblasted to remove any old paint or rust.  Once they spray the powdercoating on, it is baked on and is extremely durable.  I have seen them done on wheels of bikes as well as racks.  Would definitely recommend it.

I personally would just go with the powder coating. Dont waste your time on the cheap do-it-yourself spray kit. I have also seen many of the professional spray in fade over time. But thats could be a florida SUN thing or just me bein to anal about my personal truck!!
