I purchased a used 1999 sportsman 500 w/ebs. I was having noise problems, so on a sugestion from here I pulled the clutch cover. The primary clutch has a crack starting at the shaft and radiating up, and the clutch buttons have grooved the aluminum.

I need a primary! what year sportsman will fit I found a 2005 sportsman 500 w/ebs. Will it fit?

Yes it will fit as will any polaris atv clutch. You just have to install your weights and spring and you are good to go.
