I have a 07 400 auto and since day one it has made a clunking sound comming from the belt drive area when cold but will go away when it warms up the dealer says it is normal but I have never heard this sound on other ATVs when cold. Any thoughts on this Thanks.

My 04 400 makes a clunking sound only when I get real hard on the brakes. Seems like there is some slack somewhere. But it is only noise It works fine and I know other ACs that do the same thing. I know a Grizz 660 does it worse like when you jump it and the back tires are off the ground they sound like they are going to fly apart. I dont know what it is or if we are hearing the same sound but I think mine is normal, and I aint fixin it if it aint broke.
