In my experience, a clogged cat will often cause a loss of power, especially at higher RPM and high throttle... I'd maybe double check the plug wires are correct, and take a look at the plugs (make sure none are oil fouled), and if you decide it's the cat, you might tack in a pipe temporarily and see if that improves how it runs- to verify the cat is clogged before you spend $$$ on a new cat...
